Hi Folks~ Seems to me, I heard something about this being a sought-after pedal? I have a chance to pick one up for $50...just wondering.... |

I picked up a silver model of the TCH1, traded for a $5 Timmy's coffee card because he thought it was broken, it takes the classic unregulated adapter. Daisy chain no problem. Opened it up and its a CE3 clone with the MN3207/3102 opamps Sounds like a darker CE2, not having a CE3 myself Nice how you can seperate the direct sound from the effect sound, instant vibrato, of sorts. Weird how the effect jack is on the top with the knobs. Pretty good if you need another chorus but I usually use my CE2 or Dano Spinning Speaker

| Those Tokai effects seem all to be Boss clones. Once I bought a used TFL-1 flanger and it's an almost exact copy of the BF-2! |

I think tokai were one of the 'original' rip off merchants................somewhere in that last statement there is a contradiction in terms...... ..... |

Hi Guys
I do remember the Tokai brand from my teen years but, I haven't seen any Tokai guitars, let alone effect pedals for many years.
If you guys can send in some pics of the insides of the Toka1 pedals that you have. It would be great, to see them in the in the "Pedal Internals" thread.
Or even any pics of Tokai guitars.
Regards Dr. Bob

Hi Sp-1
Thanks for that memory jogger. I had a vivid flashback of a GAS attack I suffered, back in my teens, and after I played one in a (now long gone) local music store, & thinking, "if my dad got this for me, I would be a Rock God".
I guess you guys all know, that my dad never did buy me that Flying-V. So it's really all his fault, that I never became a "Rock God".
Regards Dr. Rock Bob |

Very True, and they are not bad. I have a distortion, sounds similar as the DS-1, just a little less good but that is what you get with the copies.
Another good copybrand: Rockson. The housing is good, you even get a metal screw. Do have the copy of the CE-2 and HM-2, and both of them sound great!!
Personally I think it is a lot of fun to use copies, especially when they sound very near the orginal.
