Hello --
Just looking for a source of O-rings for the Boss compact pedals -- for the hinged battery cover where the screw goes in. I seem to recall a thread on here somewhere describing a common hardware store source.
If anyone can point me to that thread or knows the proper size and type, much appreciated.
Thanks Disco Stu |

The 5/16" grommet from the hardware bins at Home Depot seems to fit well in a pinch.

Hello All --
Thank you for the replies! And for the links... it was a real journey through Grommetland.
You guys are like the all-knowing oracles of stompboxes.
Actually went by the Home Depoo and Low's today (those are the big chain hardware and building material stores in the US).
They had a few grommets but I had forgotten to bring along a sample. I think they wanted a buck and a quarter for the 5/16" and 9/32" sizes... seems a bit steep.
Maybe between the five or ten people on this forum who each need 3 or 4 of these things, we could get a few dozen from the supplier for a reasonable price? So who(m)ever knows a company that supplies these things in bulk, give me that info and I'll buy a few hundred, and send them to forumites for cost and postage.

I agree wholeheartedly -- but I guess that's what it costs for the convenience of only getting one, and getting it that day. And I guess that in my mind, when it was going on a pedal that must have cost me $80-100, I didn't realize it.
Your offer would be greatly appreciated here, I'm certain...
Off-topic: Radio Shack used to stock the old-style knobs for Boss pedals, back in the early '80s when the "old" style was current -- and you could get four for about a buck. Perfect match, too. Those were the days.
