In order to get this or that thing working as you really like, or just to get that unusual sound I'm sure some of you had to do something really nasty to your equipment, maybe a home made mod or whatever.

So, do you have proof for that? Was it all worth it?

I love my TS9DX, but it will have to remember the last time it decided to jump off my pedalboard... It won't happen again

I ordered this metacrilate piece the size and shape of the model, which is simply the sole of my pedal

Glued it to the bottom of my pedal with loctite, and it was firmly in its place after less than 5 seconds

et voil, the velcro is in its place and will be there forever, as I added a bit of loctite there also.

I wouldn't do something like that to my Boss pedals since they still have their plates, but the Ibanez really needed it.

I do the velcro thing to all my pedals ..i'm not a collector so the resale value doesn't apply about the bottom plate as i don't really sell or trade gear anymore..(i just buy when i get G.A.S.....)..i find the velcro pretty decent..i glued a carpet tile (like you would find in offices) to the bottom of the pedalboard and the rough part of the velcro grabs that really well...gives you the option of moving the pedals around and changing stuff easily....i also like the idea of the bicycle chain links at each corner of the pedal and screwing them down as i gig so much the pedalboard getting thrown in and out of the van on a regular basis the odd time one of two might get a bit loose...that or like the time some drunken bum pushed one of the FOH tops over and it landed on my LS-2 .......

When converting an SX STL (Tele copy) into a variation of Fender's Hot Rod '52 Tele, the neck PU route was long enough and wide enough for a mini-HB PU. However, it did not have the proper depth for the mini-HB mounting screws, and I did not have the proper tool to add depth to the route...So I ended up using my largest width drill bit to carefully remove enough wood on each side of the neck PU route for the screws to go into...Its all under the pickguard, and I did not drill through my guitar, but probably one of the more gnarlier things I had to do, that I wasn't expecting to do, but had to, to get the job done...

Does this count?

I put a 1 meg pot in it, removed the dial and taped it up so its always on full bore and hardly any tone/gain suck....

Got so sick of knocking that thing while playing but no more

Also the toggle switch kept coming loose but now that problem is solved also :)

That GK-3s really annoying me at the moment though.........

I'm going to mod that by again sticking it on full bore and GK mode and burying it in hazard tape- should be awesome when I'm done :D

This isn't staged... it's how I bought it! Deck screws and beer bottle caps holding the strap ends to the guitar body. Plus duct tape, just in case

Some pics from Franzoni and Jack could be interesting...

I'm not a seller, but I like my pedals shiny and beautiful. Of the three good pedals I own (TS9DX, MIT DS-2 and DD-6) only the Ibanez shows marks of use, while the bosses are like new.

In my first band a guy played a Vantage just like that! It was killer. Also got "convenience-modified" - a broken CD replaced a huge chunk of wood gone right over the control cavity..

http://www.idjnow.com/StoreModules/ProductDetails.aspx/PID=ELIMINATOR

one of those EV's falling onto the pedalboard from about 8ft in the air after a guy and a girl weighing about 40 stone between them hit the FOH on one side of the stage, not the smallest tops in the world and takes two to lift them into position,if you check the spec sheet you will see they weight over 75lb each..the 18" subs are even bigger and heavier.......and it was a helluva gig.... although i was pretty pissed off at the time....

I love those old Vantage's. Shame to see this one so beaten up.
Did you fix it up?
