Is this true ? 2 Boss pedals, modeling 2 fender amps ?

If this is, it's the end of an era. With those pedals, the continuous line of Boss compact pedals would be broken, IMHO. It's not effect. It's something else.

EDIT : yes, it is, it's on bossus.com
Even the fuzz is digital. What a shame...

To tell the truth, I'm sad, right now. I can see Boss changing. I'm getting older...

Yes, I also think it's quite a change in direction - not sure how I feel about it at this stage... Maybe the prices of the older, rarer pedals will go up now? You never know...

Still, I MUST START SAVING...GOT TO HAVE....

Great, can you give me the serial number?
I'll calculate an updated OS-2 monthly production number based on it.

In addition to the 3 already mentioned there's the FBM-1 (Fender Bassman) and FDR-1 (Fender Deluxe Reverb). Are these COSM amp simulations in a stompbox? I can't wait.

Don't care too much about the Deluxe Reverb one (i am getting an EHX Wiggler), but it looks like Boss might have out done themselfs with the BASSMAN model !!!

Hey I love the fact that people have been talking about more COSM pedals since the AC-3 and now we know what they were planning all along!!!

I love the look of the pedals but the test will be how they sound.

Looks like Fender has been busy too! http://www.fender.com/vgstrat/

I really am interested in the DN-2 also. A pedal that gives you more finger control would be very useful for me!

Maybe, though you might argue that the RC-2 isn't an effect but a recording device.

This isn't really that much of a shock to me though. You could see it coming several years ago when Boss discontinued all of their analog modulation effects and brought out the PH-3, BF-3, and digitalised the Chorus pedals. It was apparent then that Boss would move with the technological advancements of the industry. With the advent of the multi-mode/voice compact pedals from Digitech and Line6 consumers expect more from a fuzz than a single voice (maybe why the FZ-3 failed), and the only way you can do that competitively is with digital modelling.

it's a sign from holy god if you ask me!!

Hi Controlfreak! How much regular Boss pedals in Ireland? Are there good shops in Dublin? Thanks!

hey Metallium!

there are a few shops in dublin alright. musicmaker is a good one and there's a little shop a street over from it that's very good too. prices for new pedals are comparable to anywhere else. bout 100euro for BF-3, TR-2 etc. CS-3 is about 75 and the big ones are bout 200 DD-6 and PS-5 etc.

cash converters are a good source of second hand boss pedals. there are cash converter shops in all of the citys i think. dublin, cork, limerick etc.

i know more places in cork and limerick as that's where i live.

are you thinking of paying a visit?!!!!
