Folks, and BossArea,

I just wanted to say that I truly appreciate everyone's patience and interest with my "enthusiastic waffling" about the pedals I'm designing and building.

This is, however, a Boss forum, and while I can say my designs are influenced a lot by Boss, they are not about Boss, they are about me.

So I offer an apology for taking things sideways away from Boss. If I'm annoying anyone with all "my stuff", please let me know and I'll tone it down.

You got nothing to be sorry for Laurie. Keep up the good work. It looks like you are picking up a few Canadian habits.

No worries from me, I really like seeing others peoples projects, whether they are building them to sell or just for their own use.

Keep up the good work and lets see more of it !

Hi Laurie

I was really surprised to read your post, as I'm sure many other here were/are.

So speaking as Dr. Bob Moderator.
I was wondering if someone has PM'ed you voicing some concerns?
Or something of a similar nature?

Even Goran PM'ed me before,
asking if all was Ok with you as well?
He had similar concerns, & didn't understand the reason for your post.

You know you are always welcome to PM me anytime.

Regards Dr. Bob

The main part of this forum is a Boss forum, but there are areas for posting things about stuff that isn't Boss. ie. Non Boss Gear Discussions, Off Topic, Buying or Selling non Boss Products. You have used these parts of the forum correctly, as far as I can tell.
Don't think you have anything to apologise for. I'm as confused as Dr. Bob and Goran on why you felt you needed to post this.
As I said though, the main part of this forum was designed around Boss products, but I thought everyone around here also used it as a place to discuss a general love for all things guitar, bass, amps, pedals etc..
Just hope no-one has been daft enough to PM moaning. Please continue with your good work.... I'm certainly interested in hearing all about your own designs for pedals, and I'm pretty sure that everyone else is too.

+1....i too thought 'OFF TOPIC' is for anything non boss related...and to be honest sometimes i enjoy this part of the forum and the non boss gear discussions best.....i'm not a collector so the finer details of year and value have little interest to me...

+1 absolutely.....

Maybe you experienced a moment of self-doubt for a minute there but I really can't see why-

Your posts are great, really interesting stuff and I enjoy reading about your projects and stuff you have achieved just as much as I enjoy listening to a demo by someones band, pictures of setups or pretty much anything contributed by anyone.......

Its all good, its just networking and we all know man cannot live on Boss pedals alone- I wish it was true, but unfortunately it will never be......

Keep it up dude lets see more!!

Thank you everyone!

Chrissydamage's sentiment sums it up for me as well... I just felt that I was "high-jacking" our collective resource a bit.

Hey Laurie,

Like the others have said, this is a Boss forum but it also accomodates other discussion. If it were purely Boss I'd probably not spend so much time here. Variety makes this forum interesting.

I've also found that discussions here about gear that has it's own forum elsewhere generally tends to yield more balanced discussion, which is great. I find other forums can be a little intimidating due to my limited knowledge, however, everyone here makes me comfortable enough to discuss anything... It really is a very friendly and helpful environment here at Bossarea...

I think your pedals are highly relevant to Bossarea because you can use them with Boss pedals (Isn't your HZD an homage to a Boss pedal?). Discussion of clones, guitars, amps, rack units and gigging experience is all relevant too.

Besides, as far as I can see, you use the forum topics properly, so if anyone only wanted to read about Boss related stuff, and didn't want to read about your pedals they would have no trouble doing so...

I hope no one has complained about your LauriePedals discussions... I for one think that it all adds to the Bossarea experience. I like hearing about your pedals and I know many others here do too! Please keep up the good work!

Cheers, Natthu
