| If you count the TU-12 Chromatic Tuner as a pedal, then it was my first Boss pedal, otherwise it would be the EH-2 Enhancer. |

First Boss product, was not a stompbox - but the V-WAH.
I found it very hard to use it to it's full potential, so i sold it and got the Digitech Whammy.
First stompbox though, was the mighty SD-1 !!!

| It was an ODB-3. I never get a decent sound out of it, and sold it fast. |

| It's funny when people say that they bought their first Bosspedal in the early 80's.. I wasn't born until 88 and mostly of my pedals are older than I am, my first Boss pedal was bought at an auction, a TW-1 |

My first Boss was a CH-1 about 10 years ago. I hated it so I stayed away from Boss. Then about 2 years later I bought my first DS-1. I hated that too, so I stayed away from Boss. Then a few years later I got a TR-2 and shelved it cause I hated it too. Then the GE-7 was given to me and... I hated that one too.
After all this, now Boss pedals are my favorite. I sold the CH-1 and modded nearly all my other Boss pedals. Their in good standing with me now. |

Hey Diggum, it's a shame you seemed to have picked some of the poorest Boss pedals to start off with.
I've never been fond of the CH-1 sound - it's sounds too sterile to me. I'm not so keen on newer Taiwanese DS-1's either as they sound too fizzy to me. Also, the TR-2 is flawed with a volume drop problem which is easy to fix but disappointing on a stock pedal.
Luckily, most of the other Boss pedals sound good! |

My story is similar to diggum12's.
Bought a CH-1 and DS-1 (MIT) from eBay.
They were ok. Then found the SS CE-2 in a local shop and sold the CH-1 |
