Robert Smith... heavy Boss user.

CD-1
Chorus Delay
Black with CE blue lettering.

Or could just as well be called The Cure signature pedal. Then it might be CDC-1. Cure Delay Chorus.

+1 on the Robert Smith.

I'm not usually a fan of signature pedals (or signature much of anything), but if it can be something truly unique which will allow the creation of not only the artist's sounds, but NEW sounds, then it would be worth it.

They should do an Andy Summers DC-2 reissue maybe..

Hi Guys

Not too sure about this?

Goran, myself & a few of my close friends, have had less than favorable experiences,
with Artist signature pedals like the Digitach Clapton Crossroads pedal.

Not to mention the premium pricing that the artists signature seems to add to the overall "perceived" value of the pedal.

Goran sold his very soon after he finally managed to get one.
My friends sits in it's orig. box.

The Company-Amp inspired pedals from Boss FDR-1, FBM-1 seem to have done a lot better.

The Vox Satch pedals, seem to be doing ok, but have had some quality issues,
I believe there is a thread running elsewhere on the forum about this.
Not to mention they are large-bulky & and cheap looking, except for the "Big Bad Wah".

Most of us here have enough pedals to approximate the tone/s of a lot of our favorite artists.
Or at least can do it cheaper, than buying a sig. pedal.

The situation would probably be different, if they priced them reasonably.

Regards Dr. Bob

Signature versions of anything are only about making a lot of $$$, i always get a bit when i see all those signature guitars and feel sorry for the people that actually buys them because they think it is really better than a stock one. I am waiting on the day that Gibson for example brings out the 'Gibson Les Paul Leo Fender' signature guitar just because it would sell.

Yeah signatures suck
For the most part....

And Boss will probably never do one unless it's COSM , but what nutty ideas lay in your head?

I've a new idea...

Jordan Ellwanger ((me ) I think I deserve one too dammit I'm a Boss fan, user and collector!!)
DE-1 Drive Equalizer
A pale yelloworange, creamish pedal with black lettering. Just like a GE-6 but as many sliders as a GE-7. The extra slider is the drive. Bitchin right?

There's also a Dunlop Buddy Guy Wah with the same paint job..

I was thinking about the Clapton Crossroads and the Dan Donegan (one of those "who?" moments) "The Weapon" which dedicates one of 7 tones to the intro sound of a specific Disturbed song.

I think we'd all like to see some new and unique non-COSM effects from BOSS, but it's pretty unlikely considering the direction they've been moving in lately.

They should make the TU-1000 a signature model.. Like the Slow-Hand stage Tuner - SHTU-1000. Maybe then they can try to justify the price and size (although it's nice to use).

I have an MXR EVH flanger... and it's actually pretty good It won't replace the Deluxe Electric Miistress on my board anytime soon because it isn't "stereo" out, but it's got great tone.

On the other end of the scale, I bought a Digitech Jimi Hendrix signature wah (the one that came in a purple velvet bag) and I reckon it's a complete toy. Even though I got it for about half new price, I definitiely paid too much for what it is. I'm hanging onto it hoping it will become collectable!

As for a Boss signature pedal... maybe a DG-1 (PF-1?) that gives tape echo and perfect distortion.

Perfect distortion???? For some it's the sound of slashed speakers and for some it's the sound of Ethel Merman farting. Subjective to say the least, but having said that I do think David Gilmour would be the perfect man for the first Boss signature pedal. Mayhap a turbo equalizer?

Adrian Belew, he uses many Boss compacts, he´s one great noicemaker and guitarist, both solo and with King Crimson.
A Belew pedal would be somethinh that really alter the way a guitar sound, a guitar version of SYB-5 painted like one of his Duo Sonics would be nice.
