I took some pictures of different labels today. You can see the result on http://www.bossarea.com/labels/labels.htm

The setup is rather crude so I may have to go back and re-do a few things later. There were a few more than I excpected and I don't even have all types of labels.

Some interesting points:
There are 2 types of blue labels. Blue and Dark Blue.
The RV-2 label is Dark Gray, not black and it's got a special label with RV-2 written on it.

If you have any labels that I don't have, please post them here or mail them to me (borgetx@hotmail.com) and I'll add them to the label-page.

I guess we'll have to call that a type 12B. Great if you can get a better picture of it. Thanks.

Found another type today and updated the page.

So far there's 16 unique labels pictured regardless of colour. You may also notice that there is no type 1. The Boss book has a picture of a black label with the text "Roland Japan" at the bottom. That's type 1. Does anyone have one of these?

Other missing labels that I know about is the red PSM-5 label.

Reflective Shiny things are so hard to photograph! Any tips on how to do it bossarea?

Heres a scan of the bottom plate, will this do?

Also a picture, at least you can read the text!

Thanks, those pics are great. I'll add them to the rest of the labels.

Yes, the labels are hard to photograph. My pictures aren't at all very good. I put a spotlight directly above the pedal and snapped 15-20 pictures of each pedal using a flash. Most pics are taken at a slight angle to avoid the flash being reflected from the label.

What Pedals are Type 4, and Type 12, I find those to be ones I have never seen.

Also I'm lame for advertising it, but my friend just got one, so now I know it's not a scam:

Type 4 is a TW-1 (serial num 162400) while Type 12 is pawnshop_trash's BF-2 or CE-2B from 1995. I've never seen any orange label pedals but he's got two of them.

great work, bossarea!! I'm glad that my orange-label BF-2 (type 12) was of help....

(and I'm sorry I've been of less help with your PS-2; which portion of the circuit board schematic (and which board) would you most need a scan of?)

Never mind the PS-2. I ended up ordering the schematic from Roland.

Got a DS-2 MIJ yesterday, it has a silver label just like 11C & 11D but says Made in Japan. Canīt find that one on the label-pictures.
Bossarea, should I try to get a picture of it?

Sent a picture of the label to you Bossarea, if there is any trouble please contact me.
