in my DS-1

im not getting a signal after performing the seeing eye mod

anyone know what the crrect voltages i should be getting in the signal path

i checked out every part as i installed them

need help with first mod

so what part did you put in, that had the problems after with no signal

i didnt check for any signal until after i put the following parts in

C1
C2
C5
C7
C8
C9
C12
C14
R14
R39

i then checked it fo a signal adngot nothing w/ pedal engaged

then toady i put the LED in D5....still no signal

im trying to get a better pic

Make a probe (dont use a meter)

Turn it on (LED lit) and put in a signal. Probe pin 1 on the IC, then pin 7. Is there any signal on either?

Probe pin 1 on the IC...meaning pin 1 on the op amp?

DUDE, your solder joints look horrible


They are all blackened they are supposed to look all shiny

This was my first mod i did a few weeks ago,but my joints are alot better then yours.You should check for signal after each component change.Make Laurie's audio probe and check around the joints that you did

Also don't use that media fire anymore, there is so much spyware on that site it's not funny. use http://imageshack.us/ spyware free or www.photobucket.com also spyware free

so do i need to take all the parts out and start over or just test them one by one still in the board?

I would make a probe first it would be easier. to see which part is faulty.make sure that the pedal is on and also check out the opamp too
