The original adaptor was a cool thing to include!
If I was to buy that one if would be just for the adaptor since the CE-2 doesnt have a silver screw anyway...

Eventhough I know it's probably a controversial issue with you guys, I wanted to mention that dealing with shipping and customs is often a bit of a hassle when dealing outside the country. I mean when someone is selling something on Ebay, its because they want quick money, it doesn't mean they want to work for the money, if they wanted to work for the money they'd get a job.

Paypal is an excellent example of people not wanting to wait for the money or even having to go to the bank to deposit a check for that matter.

Plus so many of us have been the victims of scammers who always seem to be outside of the country where there is little chance we will go to hunt them down.

In my case for example the one time I tried buying outside of the country, the guy tried to rip me off and never send me the pedals, it took 6 months but I finally got them after threatening legal action. Not everyone will be this lucky.

I just wanted a chance to defend the man's decision, because eventhough it's possible he won't get as much money as he could have if he opened the auction to international shipping, that's his decision, plus he doesn't even take Paypal and wants a US Money Order, then there is the possible hassle of dealing with foreign currency, and currency conversion. Which like I said earlier is not usually what people are thinking of when they want to make a quick buck off of Ebay.

Not trying to start a fight here, just playing Devil's Advocate.

"I had a problem when selling "overseas" therefore all of "overseas" is trouble... that can get a bit annoying

A (insert race) man stole my car therefore all_____men are theives.

I have found most people are cool within certain trusted countries or in the most basic case to Canada, UK, Australia.

Oh, and having bought from overseas before I think its customary to pay the person in their own currency. It's no big deal at all to send a money order in $US.

Still perhaps a little difficult for an Indonesian without Paypal living in Nigeria

NOW that paypal is connected to USPS and Canadapost, there is really NO HASSLE at ALL to ship internationally. IN FACT you can prove much easier the package was insured and with automatic tracking, (wow $1.00 more) it is super easy and hassle free. You can type the dang customs info on the computer which is simply "how much is it worth and the country of origin".

There is NOTHING WRONG with DEMANDING PAYMENT BY WAY OF PROPER MONEY ORDER EITHER.

Buy insurance, and you are done.

Just check feedback and know who you are dealing with. There is just no way to really know in advance if someone is going to ripyou off.

I saw someone listing a pedal that looked like a photoripoff, and I asked them to send me orginal pics, they said "no" my digital camera is dead" YAH RIGHT< camera worked to take the pic yesterday and now its dead?

MOVE ON, ANYTHING that leads you to ask an xtra question that doesn't get answered succinctly is a clue. alot of eBay scammers are Kids who lie about being 18, and are really not very sophisticated scammers. thses should be easy to sniff out by email BEFORE BIDDING!!!!!

VERY FEW eBayers, really don't fully disclose, so you have to ask questions anyways. Even asking a simple question, can reveal alot about the character of the seller, just depending on the language and how they answer!

GO with your gut, check the feedback. BUT if SOMEONE IS OUT TO PURPOSELY RIP YOU OFF< THEY WILL and there's nothing you can do. LOOK out for the obvious ...
- not their own pic
- "used once" was it REALLY USED ONCE that is just crap
- over promises in email
- negatives

I had a clown hold onto my money for a month. the excuse was there was a tornado in the area, and my house got some damage, and I had to temporarily move to my aunts house, and sent pics to prove it.

WELL MOST DIGITAL CAMERAS RECORD DATE AND TIME SHUTTER SPEED CAMERA MODEL etc etc etc and the picture she sent were 1 year and 2 months OLD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

But I got my stuff.

Just goes to show how silly people are with SOMETHING SO DANG SIMPLE AS EBAY.

1. LIST WHAT IT IS.
2. Collect Payment
3. SHIP WHEHN PAYMENT CLEARD> what the heck is so hard about htat!

Anyway, like I said, I am not trying to start a fight here, as it's clear many of you feel strongly about this subject, so I'll leave it be, but being an American let me say this, we're lazy. And my point was that it's more of a hassle than shipping nationally, period. You get fewer options, it costs more, and there might be language barriers you have to face, when dealing with someone whose second or third language is your first. And who wants to deal with trying to get their money back from the post office (no matter how easy it is, it's still an extra step) when they do get ripped off? Nobody.

Also many of us don't know how to ship outside the country and are too ignorant to care to learn how. (For example if you are using USPS, there are some countries you can only ship Global Express Mail to, and depending on the item, it might be banned in some countries and you could be charged a huge fine, is that worth it? (ex. certain countries don't allow the importing of Gun Scopes or Gun Sights, which are in most cases pieces of plastic and glass, but a lofty fine comes with trying to import them to certain countries)

So my point once again is: Americans = Lazy, Extra Effort = Not Worth It, when we could be using those extra seconds to watch Television.

Now with that being said, I have dealt overseas quite a few times, and with fine results, but one bad experience can ruin it for many people.

This is just in many cases human nature, to my fellow gentlemen, how many times have you heard a girl say "I tried it once, but I didn't like, I don't wanna do it again"

Personal experience means everything, and as long as Ebay gives you the option of where you want to ship, no one has to be international.

And for all those of you who are annoyed by people not wanting to ship overseas then why don't you just not search for that in your Ebay settings, if it's just going to make you mad when they say No after you bother messaging them about it, why bother? Plus you could be supporting your own economy by buying locally or nationally. I understand lots of pedals are out of print and you "want them", but if you are geographically in a position that makes getting them a near impossible task than maybe you should consider moving. There are still parts of the world without electricity, and if your country didn't have the internet, this would not be bothering you right now.

You can't always get what you want.

For the sake of not making this into a mess, I am not going to respond after this message, I've said all that I want to say about the subject, and any more comments from me would just be repeating what I wrote about in different words.

Remember I love all you guys, and I understand that this must be frustrating (I've had Canadian Ebayers who wouldn't send to the US, what's up with that?) I just have to play Devil's Advocate as best I can to make sure everyone sees the full picture from all sides. So even if you don't like it, you can still understand it.

i can see it both ways.

first things first, whats worse than people who wont ship outside of their country are the people who say "ya ill ship to your country, but its $50 shipping." when you know damn right shipping is 10 bucks.

thats a good point Dingus. i do ship to worldwide, but i would much prefer to ship to Canada/America only. its just easier. i think its just an idea in the back of my head and i think. "but Japan is so far... am i gonna come up short on shipping??" the way i see it is Canada and US should be 100% tradeworthy. theres not even a body of water between us.. it is frustrating (being a Canadian citizen) seeing an American adress refusing to ship to Canada, but its totally the sellers choice, and i also acknowledhe that Canadian residents do this as well.

Good point, Dingus; ie. don't search people who don't ship to your home area. It would indeed leave a little less irritation.

You are too hard on everyone wanting to watch more TV! But I love your humour on the subject. Well done!
