| I'm using 2 Fender Princeton Reverb II in a stereo setup. Both are set as clean as possible, so I get any dirt from pedals. |

Kustom II lead and a Jordan Performer J100.
I'm hoping to score a really small cheap tube amp this holiday season. Plus I'm waiting for my first tube amp to come back from the repair shop...
...long story but a good one! |

You can get a Peavey Valveking Royal 8 from Musicians Friend or Music 123 for $99.99 and free shipping, though they are backordered until December. It's a Class A all-tube 5 watt amp with 3 knobs (gain, tone, master volume) and a headphone jack. 8 inch speaker. Nice little small tube amp that also takes pedals very well. I got one backordered myself and can't wait to get it! |

Does anyone have any experience with the Marshall JMP-1 pre-amp? Perhaps how your runnin it, Power issues, knob settings? Thanks! I have found one for a really nice price and love that metal deftone-ish tone, but know nothing of this pre-amp or how to use it...
I would probably find a nice marshall to go with it also if anyone knows a nice crunchy amp to pair it with...

Added amp pics:

Nice.... i like the way the leslie cab is split..
Blackrash ..you could run the JMP-1 through a power amp or if one of your amps has a effects loop put the output of the JMP-1 into the return of the loop that way you will bypass the preamp section of the amp and you can shape the sound with the JMP-1 and just use the combos power amp section and the speaker.. for example your little peavey combo if it has a loop or better again if the pignose has one as well use both amps together as an experiment,i think the JMP has two outputs on the back...you could also possibly put it into the inputs of your amps and run it on the clean channel if they don't have an effects loop but i don't think the JMP-1 was designed to be used like this.. i think most people would rack this with some sort of stereo effects processor and then into a stereo power amp and out to a couple of cabs.... |

Hi Witloofboer
=== slightly off topic ==== Can you please tell me/us more about your 1,5W DIY tube amp? Is it single ended? or push-pull? Perhaps psot some pics as well?
I am in the process of building a 1-Watter for the studio. It has a Phase inverter & Push-Pull output stage.
Perhaps we could swap some idea's, I interested in these small low power amps.

Mesa Boogie Mark V.
Hence why I might be putting a bunch of pedals up for sale. The dirt pedals are all collecting dust after purchasing this wonder of an amp!!!!!! |

Thanks Franzoni!
Only really use the Peavey for the headphone jacks(none on the Pignose) when practicing when people are sleeping. The pignose does have an effects loop, but now I am wondering if I should just save for a nice Marshall with some built in stuff... not sure
Love the pignose, but I need something a little more bass/crunchy-e |
