I have the opportunity of buying an used AW-2 autowah pedal for $ 45... Is it worth it? Is it a good pedal? So-so? Can I play "Misteryous Ways" with this pedal? How's the price?
Thanks!

I think that it´s great. Used my TW-1 before, but replaced it with the AW-2. It can do some really spaced out sounds while in use with the fixed setting. But can also work as a snappy auto wah. I know that there are some odd thoughts about this pedal that it can be tricky to set in a good working way, but I can´t really see the problem. I like it and say - go for it! |

| I guess i am one of those people that can't find a decent setting on the aw-2, i don't have it that long and i still hope to find a setting that i like, i didn't give it up yet and $45 is a steal.. |

i'd say pick it up...you can do some cool stuff with loops using the fixed setting...and that's pretty cheap assuming it's in decent shape...give it a go...

| I'd say avoid it. I found it to be the most useless auto-wah I've ever used. But that's just my opinion. |

I tried the pedal today, and it sounded ok I guess, but it needs some work. It has chips and dings everywhere, the input and output jacks were a bit rusty, and it only worked on batteries, not with the power supply. If I give it to the tech to fix that, he would charge me at least $ 10 for it, which would raise the price to $ 55. I thought it was in better shape but it surely looks like a neglected pedal... I told the seller that we may talk later. If he has the pedal fixed it could be a possibility, but I don't like pedals that look sooo old. |
