i would like to hear opinions from members here
i have been using a CH-1 for a while now and it has satisfied me in the past..until now
i recently saw a video of a guy and he was playing using a Marshall Supr Vibe Chorus....and i fell in love with the sound of it
does anyone know if any Boss Choruses are comparable as far as sound to this Marshall Super Vibe
i guess of late, my ear is changing and the CH-1 isnt cutting it anymore...i just cant seem to tweak the CH-1 to my liking
any ideas, comments would be appreciated
thanks |

| The CE-2 is an awesome chorus. You won't be disappointed if you get one. |

If you like the Marshall Supr Vibe Chorus why not just look for one of those?
Personally I like the CE-5, but it is indeed hard to beat a CE-2. |

| CH-1 its amazing.... I have 2 an 93 analog and other 2004 digital.... the two are good and they are in the set of many famous guitarists... I have a CE-5 taste to use with distortion in bases. |

+1 on the DC-2. The DC-3 is great as well, lots of control, but lacking the nice analogue warmth.
The CE-2 is quintessential. |

Well I am going to be the odd one out and say try an analogue CE-5 before paying more for a CE-2. I have both, having had the CE-2 the longest and I have to say that I prefer the dry / effect blend and effect EQ options offered by the CE-5. Also mine is quieter than my CE-2 and doesn't boost the overall volume when turned on. I tend to like a very subtle chorus so this is the best option for me. The CE-2 is great for a lovely strong analogue chorus effect but a bit inflexible if you want to back it off a bit.

I have the DC-2 and it's a fine chorus, but they're very expensive now and if you're only using your chorus for mono, the DC-2 is hardly worth it; IMO the magic only works in stereo. A question to people pimping the CE-2: why people pay big money for the CE-2 when its stereo version, the CE-3, can be picked up for next to nothing?
The CE-20 is to chorus what the DD-20 is to delay, in other words, the swiss army knife of chorus.
If you're looking outside of the Boss product range, the TC Stereo Chorus Flanger is great. If it weren't I'd still have the DC-2 on my board. |

I'm in 100% agreement with this...I didn't state it earlier and David stated it a lot better. |

I used a pair of analogue CE-5's for the longest time. I've changed to a CE-20 mostly because it was cheap and I only need the one CE-20 for stereo. Plus I can run it hot (+4dB) - the CE-5's were distorting sometimes at the levels I run... the CE-20 and the DD-20 are the last pedals in the chain and I run them hot so they drive the pre-amp of the amps better.

CE-2 is really good but if you play in a band I think CE-5 is better, try to get the analog version. As Ive stated before, using a pedal in a band context is very different from sitting alone and really listening to differences. And, by the way, the listener doesnt care as long as you play nice! |

I'm currently using just a DD20 into CE20 and for a lot of clean stuff (rather than my GT8).
The CE20 is one of the finest chorus pedals i've ever used. |
