Hi!
The DD-7 has been out for a while now. Im not a lucky owner yet. So my question will follow as this: How good is the DM-2 mode in DD-7? Is it the same and does it sound analogue or is it cosm"ish"? In other words - do I get a DM-2 too if I go for a DD-7 or is the old one THE one. (not because of collectors item aso)
By the way, can I make the DD-7 sound like flutter and what happens when I turn the time-control while playing, does it react like the DM-2? |

| I have not played a Dm-2 but I own a DD-7 - TBH when I cba to tweak my pedals I keep them on a fav mode. I have the DD-7 on analogue mode withe a high feedback (rate) & It sounds awesome. |

Yeah, I like it that way too. I think that three knobs is one too much actually, but some pedals need three. Im not much for too many options. I set the pedal where I like it and there it is. I set my DM-2 with a lot of feedback and with level plenty high. Like that a lot. |

The analog mode on the DD-7 is very good, alot better than the digital modes but comparing it to the DM-2 it just doesn't quite sound the same. To my ears, the repeats on the analog mode seem cleaner than those of DM-2. One good thing about the DD-7 though is that it has a longer delay time than the DM-2. I would recommend getting a DD-7 as it's a fantastic pedal.
Anyone wanting that analog sound needs to get a DM-2 or 3 as that's also fantastic. |

If you want that analog DM-2 sound but don't wanna spend $150 or something like that, build your own DM-2! Way cheaper! I'm busy with mine at the moment. In a few months, the result will be pretty cool I think. But anyway, the DD-7 is indeed a great pedal, and for multi mode and clean repeats, it's the best opinion. But I still like analog more!

I only had the DD-7 here for like an hour or so but didn't like it at all... the DM-2 mode was okayish but nothing more. A real DM-2 is way better and well smoother. The fading notes really melt together.
and I honestly think the DD-7 is way too noisy with loud repeats. |

Agreed.
I think the DD-7 is a good work-horse. Something versatile to have on the board, but not a replacement for a DM-2 or even DD-2. |

| Thanks all! I already have a DM-2 on my board, but now I know that I shall search for a DD-2 instead of buying a DD-7 as the second one. I also already have a DSD-2, is that the same thing as a DD-2 when all comes around? I also have a DM-3 but I think that it has a "hiss" in the repeats that I dont like. Maybe its not work ok cause it feels like the built in noise reduction makes the noise. Weird. But I dont know that, thats just a thought. |
