Hi guys! Well, my setup is: DM-2A --> CE-2B --> GE-7 (1985)---> OD-1 (1985) --> DS-1 (MIT) I hope that u really understand what I want to say:
- The first case is that when the DS-1 is not on my chain, OD-1 sounds wonderful. So, when I put the DS-1 on the chain like the example above, OD-1 still sounds ok but theres some noise and when I mix them to get a cool color it doesnt sound cool, it sounds a kind of weird, not clear and like a chep fuzz. And theres some noise even when the DS-1 is off.
- The second case is that when OD-1 is on the first place and DS-1 on the second place (DM-2A --> CE-2B --> GE-7 (1985)---> DS-1 (MIT)--> OD-1 (1985)), I get a cool color BUT OD-1 sounds like dead, like a cheap pedal.
Whats the reason for that? Whats the ebst solution for me to get a good sound?
Hhhhhhhhhhhheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeelllllllllllppppppppppppp! LOL! |

| I would try to reverse the whole chain so that the DS-1 becomes the first and the DM-2 the last pedal. |

| yup turn that chain right around. also, if the 2 distortins sound bad together, try lessening the gain on both of them. |

I bet his chain is on the right order, he just placed the arrows uspide down (leftside rigth ? ). He tells about first and second place for the DS-1 and OD-1. |

| Yeah possibly, Johnrocks your delay is closest to your amp isn't it? Distortion wise I put them roughly in order of gain, with lowest closest to the amp. |

Oh yeah, hahaha, the DM-2 is closest to the amp and the guitar after the distortions. So, the right thing is: DM-2A --> CE-2B --> GE-7 (1985)---> OD-1 (1985)--> DS-1 (MIT) --> Guitar |

oh ok. then you dont have them backwards. im guessing that youre just using too much gain with both pedals. try easing off the gain a little bit on the OD-1 and DS-1. also maybe try a more tame shape with your EQ.
finally, are you using amp distortion too? if so, this could be adding to the problem.
good luck |

You could also try using the OD-1 as a booster. Crank the level and bottom out the drive |

Well, the DS-1 after the OD-1 didt really work even the gain was not on the maxim. I talkd to an amazing gtr tec yesterday and he said that teh right thing is to put the OD-1 on the first place cuz of several electronic things... But he said that sometimes (I said sometimes) there are no rules and if something works, its done! Now my setup is: NO AMP (:()<-- DM-2A <-- CE-2B <-- GE-7 <-- DS-1 <-- OD-1 <-- Fender Mexican |
