I can pick one up for CAN$200... What do you think?
And more importantly... should I wait for a DD-7 ?

| I dont know if its a good price but DD-20 for sure is a great delay, I use mine all the time. |

| for me the dd20 is the only option. I'd love to have something smaller, but the ability to scroll through presets and different subdivisions on the fly, as well as the ability to adjust tempo by beats per minute(my band plays with a click track) are things I can't do without now. |

| Smart move. I've got my name on one already.. as soon as they hit the US. I'm watching though & will try to get one before then. |

DD20 is much more usuable.
Once you start actually playing with a delay, you find your timing needs to be perfect.
Start recording with a bpm clicktrack, or a keyboard/synth player with settings in bpm and you'll find the DD20 is a god-send. Did you tap in the time on the DD5/6/7 exactly correct, or were you (say) 1 bpm out?
If I know the bpm, I can dial mine in to the DD20 to get an exact bpm match. I don't have to ever worry about tapping it numerous times to get in perfect.
Once I set it to a bpm, I can scroll through loads of different tempo settings to find a decent one, knowing all will be in perfect time.
A MIDI timeclock-sync is all that is missing to make it perfect.
Saving settings is sooooo useful too. I can easily change between saved delay patterns and the manual one during a song. |

I agree with PaulH, DD-20 can do a lot more than DD-7. If youre into loop music or things like that, DD-20 is a must. |

A used DD-20 popped up yesterday locally for an excellent price (CAN$150... about US$120)... so I grabbed it. Very nice pedal - it will replace the DD-7 on my board.
Just looked at the date of the previous post on this thread... it's taken nearly a year to find this DD-20 for the right price! |
