| How's it going! The quantize feature on my DR880 has stopped working properly. I always keep it set at 16th notes, this allowed me to do whatever i wanted and then the quantize would just make it nice and tight, but now when i play a lot of notes the quantize doesn't keep it in time and everything is all over the place, any ideas why? I wanted to up the volume in some of my patterns the other day so i went into step record mode and turned the voluume up there, would that of affected it? I always record in realtime. Any help would be greatly appreciated, cheers! |

Have you tried some of the other settings? What I have done (and have had pretty good sucess with it) is... say your playing @ 120 bpm I'll half it and drop it to 60 bpm enter my bass pattern slowly and then up the tempo back to 120. Alot of the time this will work, sometimes not, but its something you can try. If this dosen't work try some of the other quantize settings if your playing alot of notes the quantize might need to be changed If none of this works and you do work it out let us know what you did to rectify your situation |

| Will do, cheers. The song i'm doing is 110 bpm, normally my tunes are about 80 bpm, maybe that has something to do with it, don't think so though, ive never had to change the quantize before. Had to do some parts without quantize because of it, would do my head in if i had to do that all the time. I'll keep you posted anyway, thanks again! |

There's another major reason when you use lower quantise settings, i.e. quqrter time 4/4 otherwise Dr will run out of memory. I always start to write a drum or bass pattern with the lowest quantise setting recording the kick drum and bass then work up the quantise till I get the rhythms where I want them. I also save each step as I go. I agree with Sloopdog in checking other settings particularly the Midi settings which should be set to internal. Good luck. |

| Have you tried factory reset? I've noticed that many new Boss machines tend to freeze up often. |
