| Not a pedal but... the Alesis Microverb II - $40 + about the same again for repair & new wall wart = great little reverb unit for $80. |

| I just recently picked up a used BCB-30 for a total of $16.50, but the seller ended up having to pay $14.10 to ship it, so technically I got it for $2.40! |

| In terms of price, I guess the OC-2 for $25, and in terms of sound, the Marshall Guv'nor ($50) - just love it! |

Not really a pedal, but the SD-808 plus mod kit for the SD-1 was well worth the cash.
I did manage to pick up a mint condition GE-7b for only 25 euro's. |

I think I got a few good buys this year. OD-20 - Boxed like new - 60 (plus postage) Danelectro Fab Tone - Boxed, mint - 12.50 (Plus Postage) Boss PQ-4 - Boxed, mint - 29
The Fab Tone is probably my favourite... |

best Boss pedal? probably the FZ-5... to be sure, the Octavia sim is lame, but on the Maestro setting, whipping out the "Satisfaction" riff was a lot more fun than I'd expected....
exceeding expectations, non-Boss division (and the highest price I've ever paid for a pedal -- about $175) was an old DOD Buzz Box, and all I can say is be afraid... be VERY afraid. I had heard it was like combining the DOD Grunge driving a MXR Blue Box (both of which I have, albeit a reissue Blue Box), but the Buzz Box is nowhere near as predictable as those two pedals. I should buy a cheap-ass amp to dedicate to that pedal, so I don't have to worry about frying the amp or blowing its speakers....
lowest price: 25 cents for a Danelectro mini pedal, the Milkshake Chorus, at a garage sale. it's ok for the price, but sometimes you get what you pay for.

I thought the Buzz Box was supposed to sound like a blown speaker! I remember I tried one when they first came out, and I must have been the first one to try one at the store, because the guy who was helping me out tried it through a couple of amps before he just realized its supposed to sound like a broken amp. It just sucks that Buzz Osbourne of the Melvins has such a crappy pedal "named" after him.... |
