Hello
I bought the BD-2 pedal yesterday! Brilliant pedal, really ripping blues and rock tones. However buying this pedal has made me realise that pedals really can influence how you play. I sat down last night and played completely differently to my usual 'routine'
I now NEED more pedals
I now have the OD-3, CD-3 and the BD-2. What i want next is a pedal which has loads of mids, more gain than the BD-2 and has enogh compression to play LEAD guitar.. ie Satch, slash etc etc..... Whould the DS-2 on mode2 be suitable? MT-2? I hope someone can help.
(PS I have been converted to BOSS pedals, they really are great sounding, good quality and for some reason I like the colours to!! mmmm the flanger looks niiiiice!) |

| one pedal i often use for a do it all is my MD-2 Mega Distortion. they claim it to be a "nu" school metal pedal, but it is really just an overlooked solid distortion for all types of music.. |

Interesting......
Does that pedal have a mid control? I have read that the MD2 is more 'mesa boogie' (which hopefully means smooth?) and the MT2 is more 'marshall'?
Thanks for the input StratoSphere |

Just saw the reviews on the Harmony guitar website..... if this review is at all accurate then I will be buying a MD-2 as well!!
"i play thorugh a mex strat w/fender fat 50's pickups, boss md2, turbo tube screamer, crybaby, into a peavey delta blues all tube amp with the 15" speaker. i hate metal, boss misadvertises this pedal. its more for clapton, allman bros, skynyrd, and even van halen. this and the tubescreamer together are amazing for leads with endless sustain and no feedback. anyone who bashes this pedal needs to stop playing through a $50 crate amp with a Samick guitar. effects cant make bad equipment sound good!! "
Anyone agree with this?

| I don't personally own one but a friend does, and it covers everything, he plays a lot of blues with it, but I was playing RATM, Deftones and Helmet with it, it's good for Nu-School metal as boss says, but its really a great distortion with loads of great possibilities. |

Hmm, have you tried lowering the gain a little bit on the BD-2 and using it to boost the OD-3? That might give you a huge lead tone. (Leave the CS-3 off though...) |
