Hi guys. Wondering if anyone could give me an idea of the current draw of a RDD-10 micro rack delay? I'm using a PSA to power a RRV-10 at the moment which draws 140ma and am guessing there won't be enough current let over to diasy-chain the RDD to it. I have the Micro Rack Booklet Vol 1 which has figures for seemingly everything else but this. Given the RPS-10 and RSD-10 are listed as drawing 100ma, i'm guessing the RDD-10 is about the same.

Unfortunately the RDD-x0 is one of the units that aren't listed on the manual download site but I agree with you. It is unlikely that it draws anything less than the RPS-10 and RSD-10 so you're probably in the right ballpark by guessing 100mA. The PSA will most likely not be able to power both units.

FWIW, the user manual of the RDD-20 says its current draw is 120 mA; the RDD-10 is probably about the same....

incidentally, it's well known that the DD-2/3 are essentially the same pedal, and likewise the DSD-2/3 are essentially the same. in each case, a new model name was 'created' because the cost of the main chip used kept dropping, and the folks at Boss decided it didn't look good to keep dropping the price of their pedals. thus, a 'new' cheaper version of each pedal debuted in 1986. does anyone know whether the same thing happened with the RDD-10/20?

Your right, it is 120ma. Handily, it's written on the back of unit. WRT the RDD-20, the 20 has one big difference over the 10 - it allows for 800ms delay time whereas the 10 only allows for 400ms. So, even if the new unit was the result of a price drop in components (probably, seems to be about the era that the DD-3 was released), the people at Boss in this instance did a little more than simply screenprint a different model number on the housing. I know the RRP of the RDD-20 was US$199, was the 10 cheaper?
