http://www.audiopervert.com/detail-roland.htm read under the secion of the Boss 110 and there you will find it.
Not sure how good a HM-2 is for fattening up drum sounds though. Personally I would go for one of the Sansamp boxes, but that may be just me, and a matter of taste eh? |

I think it sounds like
but then the DR-110 is a rather dated drum machine |

Hmm could be, do not know much about drummachines. In fact I tend to make my own ryhthmbackings on my recordings, by using some percussion, an old snare, and some drumsounds from a DX7, but all of the sounds need to be played in realtime.
Using too much of the same gear has an effect on your recordings, so a real drummachine may be something I would like to try in future.
Used the HM-2 last night, had it in front of the BF-2, and must say I liked the sounds I was getting. Funny really, because in the past I felt like the HM-2 is such an extreme pedal and you do not have lot of control over the amount of gain, yes you can change level, bass and treble but not really the amount of distortion. For some reason I felt quite happy with all of this last night. Just goes to show that your own opinions about pedals and gear does change from time to time. |

| The HM-2 is actually one of my favorites. It was my only pedal from 1984-1990. I was playing 80s heavy rock through a Roland Spirit 50 amp and the HM-2 saved me over and over again. I never had a great sound but it worked well as a poor man's Marshall. |

Yes, I picked up a few pedals more during the 90s (DD-3, CE-3, MXR dist+) but I never really started collecting until about 5 years ago. I bought a new guitar and amp in 2000 and as everyone know, the distortion in the Roland JC-120 is rubbish so I started hunting for a good distortion pedal. Within a few weeks I had picked up an SD-1, DS-1, DF-2, PW-2 and OD-2. While getting these I sort of 'accidently' bought a few non-dist pedals as well. I was adament that I was not collecting, I was just trying them out and would sell the ones I didn't like later.
5 years on and I guess I liked them all |

Or perhaps in your mind it may still be like: "Well I just listen to these and when I do not like their sound I will sell them on"
Truth is you can always find an application, and once you have a few pedals, you do not always have to play through the same setup. Same goes for gtr. recording gear and......................women |
