That's not a bad price. I've seen the silver screw DS1 go for over $150 US lately.

This one was as they say, "beat up a bit" - at least from the picture.

yeah.. i agree with you phenry20, like i said on another thread, we should work together on ebay, we can cooperate to get the pedals we want, your example is one reason. another on is that i can ask for your help to buy something off from a seller that doesn't ship outside of the continental U.S... and probably, i can get you something off from a seller that doesn't sell outside of Australia. btw, if that's the case, i should change my nickname to the one i use on ebay then

That reminds me about another bidding war I had about a year ago for pocket dictionary vol.2. After I won the auction I was contacted by the other major bidder. He offered to pay half the price in exchange for a scanned copy. In the end it turned out he had some catalogues I didn't have so we just traded scans.

That's a great idea. Personally, I don't collect the literature, although I do enjoy being able to check out the scans available online sometimes. Somewhere I have (at least I hope I still have) an original magazine advertisment for the HM2 from it's original release. If I can find it, I'll scan it and send it in bossarea. I plan to look for it over the next week or so. I have another that that's going to be easier to find, but it's not quite as cool, but if you'd like, I can scan it also.

I got PS-2 for about $50.
The pitch-shifter part I donīt like, prefer HR-2 on that.
The octaver part is OK.
The delay is great, 2 seconds makes good loops, the sound of the delay is also very good.

I've tried the PS-2 and the PS-3's delay and it sounded really sterile to my ears. Another thing about the delays is that they didn't seem to fade away the same as Boss' dedicated digital delays (ala DD-2 & DD-3). Maybe it's just me. Anybody else have that problem?

Arcannon, yourīe right about the fading, but for looping I like that so itīs a plus for me. But to use PS-2 as your regular delay wouldnīt be so good. I have 6-7 other delays...

Just got XT-2, and sure itīs a very special distorsion. I like that because itīs different and fun in a way. I have lots of traditional distortions and overdrives so a little variation is nice.
But Iīm not sure XT-2 on full tilt is very useful in a band, you have to have other dists them. Itīs to special.
But I really like it as a booster, drive att around 9 o clock, "tone-controls" about 12 o clock. A very nice sound comes out of my Fender amp from a strat. By using it this way I can recommend it.

Humbuckers & XT-2:
Itīs hard to get a decent sound out of this pedal with HBīs, DS-1 is much better for this (and a lot more pedals).
Just a tad on the gain and lots of toneknob-tweaking you get something useable.
BUT XT-2 shines in one situation, if you want the Fripp-tone.
Take a neck-HB, turn down the tonecontrol fully of the guitar, crank the dist, adjust the tone-controls, add lots of reverb. This makes a very good Fripp/woman tone.
