I'll assume you wish to use a microphone as input
so..
You'll need a Line Matching Transformer such as the Audio Technica CP8201:

for a couple sawbucks (just choose your country/language).
Go ahead & run your mic into the 1st pedal of your chain so's you can try them all! Some effects work better than others.
& NO, the PS-5 won't help you sing like a star if you suck hehe. Have fun!
