Just reviving this thread. Have a couple more DOD pedals with missing covers.

On this site: http://www.americaspedal.net/links.html
it says "unfortunately, spare battery covers are no longer available".

Does anyone know where we could get some covers made? I'd be willing to have maybe 1,000 made if there was somewhere that could do them. I'm pretty sure there is a market for them...

I bet you won't find 500 DOD pedals out there hehehe, let alone 1000. Well, their users won't find you.

I don't know, they made thousands of those DOD pedals. Half the ones for sale on Ebay are missing their battery doors as well.

If you ever find a place to make replicas, Laurie, let me know. I'd be in for a few. I have a few DOD pedals that could use a battery door.

Emailed some of the local injection moulding companies. No response. This is really starting to to get annoying...

Might as well resurrect this thread yet again.

Did you ever have any luck finding a source for these Laurie?

I've been trying to get one of the local injection moulding companies interested... but no luck. It's just too small a job to interest them.

Don't know where to go next... I've been thinking maybe a Chinese manufacturer but haven't done anything about it.

DOD still want CAN$18/door so that's not an option.

I bought a used DOD FX55 Supra Distortion for $20 just for the door and various parts, some of which I used to fix other DOD pedals I have. I've seen them as low as $15 and there always seems to be at least one or two on Craigslist.

Today I went to a plastics shop here in Madrid to replace the "sole" of my TS9DX with metacrilate instead of the original rubber, which hates velcro and being still in its place. Well, it will be cut matching the shape of the original and I'll glue it with loctite since standard glues simply won't work. It'll cost 8 , loctite aside.

The thing is, maybe the answer is going around to shops rather than looking for it in DOD's website or other stores on the net.

FWIW, there's an older (1982-1987 or so) DOD battery door on eBay:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=300366312680

the $12 BIN price is too high for me, even with free U.S. shipping.

and just to disclose, I have no relationship whatsoever with the seller.
