I have used them for CE-2 (I know - I am a heathen) and OD-3 mods and found their mods and service excellent.

Looked to me as if you'd have to pay to send them the pedals, but return delivery is included in the Mod price. Think it tells you on the price list bit. |

I recommend that you contact them first to discuss and confirm your requirements and shipping charges. Also to check that they have the capacity to mod your pedls at this time and don't have a backlog.

Hi Ollie
What mods were you after, PM me if you want to discuss, as I am just about to start a custom build / modding service / PCB production service.
Cheers

| Mainly a mod to fix my Ge-7 hiss, but I like the sound of upgrading my Ce-2 & Cs-3. |

Hi Ollie
Nice site, with some decent mods.
Although I don't agree with their write up, & run down of the Boss CE-2 Chorus, & how it's not a tank & they are prone to possible failure during the middle of a gig.
They must have bought a pile real dogs, if they are having those kinds of issues.
As most regular members here know, I have a collection of CE-2's and none are suffering any of the symptoms they describe.
As well as if it's older CE-2's failing, they surely, this would be the case across the board with ALL older & MIJ Boss pedals.
- Perhaps it was a bit of artistic licensee for advertisements sake. - Perhaps as I said above, they purchased a bunch or real dogs.
Just my 2 cents worth, & I would probably buy from them, if I lived in the UK or close by.
Also archimedes, had a very valid point, & that goes for anyone you are about to send your gear & money to. quote:

iirc this was covered a couple years ago, modding the old jap GE7s to help clean them up, freesociety has the schem w/ mods (don't do R1) http://www.freeinfosociety.com/electronics/schematics/audio/bossge7.pdf?phpMyAdmin=af0f6b4465fe3f904426eaeb3dc0e3fa
and the other is...
Lowers background noise C21 1 uf elec> 1 uf film C22 1 uf elec>1 uf film C32 1 uf elec> 1 uf film
Change ic chips IR9022>> TLO72 or NE5532 Lowers background noise dramatically (Sniper Mod uses a 4559 here for added warmth)
R4 330 ohm> 100 ohm Turns 3.2k and 6.4k sliders into a Treble Presence control, can give a good fender or vox tone by adjusting these! At maximum boost, pedal can have a little bit more noise than normal, as it is increasing the high potential of the pedal.
C33 470PF> .001UF Helps make background noise quieter C2 470PF> .001UF Helps make background noise quieter |
