Type 11 is the Taiwan version of type 6 so I guess this makes your DS-2 label a Type 6B. Got the pics. Will add them to the page over the weekend. Thanks.

Took a close look in the Boss book page 54 just to see how the 1st period label looked like (the one saying Roland Japan).
To my surprise it looks like the pedal this label is on has a black screw
Has anybody seen this supposed first version?
And does it come with a silver or black screw? If all Roland Japan comes with a black screw then it couldnt be the first
The one on the picture could of course have a substituted screw.

I didn't notice that before you mentioned it. I've never seen any pedals with that label but I left out "Type I" on the label page for when I get a picture of one

There is a JAPAN BLUE LABEL style needed to complete your bottom label photo gallery.

It has a small silver window where BOSS computer printed the serial number in DOT MATRIX type print instead of a sticker in the format AA99999, at the lower edge of the label where now they apply a sticker. I have seen that on a MIJ DD-3A I owned, and it appears on some DC-3s. (see eBay listings by japaneseproducts for DC-3s) It was an UNUSUAL BOTTOM, and obviously it was cheaper to print and attach the sticker than figure out how to run those labels through a printer methinks.

If I had one, Ida sent u the pic, instead i will simply use my time !

I had a "1" series BF-2 with Black screw that had that label on the bottom. The grommet was changed and was not original, but the pedal had very little wear on it (didn't even have the paint worn off under the lid where the pedal hits the top of the case by the batterybox); however, since grommet was changed, it is possible the silver screw was changed out for a black screw.
Said ROLAND JAPAN. I sold it because the grommet was changed and I wanted it original.
