It says in the applications guide that I can switch between two amps using 'A->B' mode and plugging A and B sends to two different amplifiers. Can I combine both amps (i.e. play through both simulatenously instead of one or the other like in the manual) if I were to have this same configuration but switch the mode to "A+B" ?

Welcome to the forum..the answer is yes.. but it would be a bit of overkill to use the LS-2 just as a splitter to feed two amps unless your using a multi amp setup...if you just want to feed two amps in a stereo setup why not use a stereo chorus or some other stereo pedal..there are also small splitter boxes out there you can get to do this as well with grounded connections to stop hums and buzzes...or were you planning on using the bypass mode to feed something else like a tuner etc...?.....

I use one to keep my delays and TR-2 in a loop and the 2nd (B) loop send to my TU-12 for silent tuning..so Bypass is my direct signal out, loop A brings in either one of my DD-3's or the TR-2....when i want to tune up i reach down and flick the selector on to loop B so when i'm using it on a gig i'm only going between loop A and bypass so no dropouts....IMHO the LS-2 is great...

the reason for my interest in the ls2 is that I don't have any stereo pedals and I'd like to have the options of multiple pedal loops in the future and their not too expensive. thanks for the replys.

Hello anth202 --

I have an LS-2 and both of the papers that came with it. If you like I can send you xeroxes of both the papers.

It's almost too confusing, and you need a lot of short cables, but they give you many different choices.

Add a few stereo pedals into the hodgepodge and it could result in endless amounts of fiddling.

But you can use two amps, two guitars, as well as the effects send, and have many choices of blending them all together.

The answer is YES, use A+B MIX mode, connect guitar to INPUT, connect other two cables to the two SEND outputs, and connect both plugs from the sendoutput to your two amps and you are there: Playing through two amps at once. In this set-up you can no longer use the volumecontrols.

The LS-2 can do many things which are not mentioned in both manuals, you need to try and use common sense, and yes, you will need a lot of patchcables.

Enjoy!!
