I know this question comes up alot, but thought I'd ask again.
Do you prefer the TU-2 first, last, middle or not at all, in your pedal chain? Or do you think that it matters not where it's situated?
Mine is currently first, for the time being. |

First. Best to tune a clean signal.
Most of us around here would suggest putting it in a true-bypass loop to cut out any tone loss. If you can split your signal and have it off on its own even better. |

| Put an A-B pedal first in the chain, with the TU-2 on the "B" out and the rest of the pedal chain on the "A". |

so your saying guitar into input of A/B
out of B (of A/B) into TU-2
out of A (of A/B)into rest of pedals (chain) |

Yep. Keeps the TU-2 completely out of the chain when you aren't using it, and provides an "auto-mute" when you switch to it. |

I personally don't find any tone suck with the tu-2.
No more than any other boss pedal. The rest of my non boss pedals in my rig are all true bypass so maybe that helps. |

Hi Guys For many months now, i have been reading the various threads about: Tone Suck - Verses - No Tone Suck.
I'm staring to wonder if there are two different versions of the TU-2? Perhaps Boss-Roland, updated their later TU-2 circuit, or possibly their earl;ire versions were the good ones?
It might be work collecting some serial numbers & or pics of the various TU-2's, & telling us if yours, is a tone sucker or not.
I know that there are pictures, of at least one TU-2, in the Internals thread.
Regards Dr. Bob |

| I have a volume pedal (Ernie Ball Jr.) with a tuner out jack. This works out real nice. When the volume is in the zero position it sends all the signal to the tuner. |
