no joke i was just about to PM you about this mod! thanks man!

ok two questions:

#8: how much effect does this mod have? meaning, is this a main component of the mod and the sound the mod produces?

#1: if one skipped removing c35 and c25, what does #2 do to the sound?

thanks!

#8 is critical. If you leave it out, the highs are like ice-picks. If you are concerned about drilling the board, the leg of the cap that goes to the ground track can be bent around the edge of the board (there is cut-out nearby), and you can just put the one resistor leg down the hole and tack the capacitor to the resistor leg if you don't want to enlarge the hole for two legs.

Of course, if LOTS of highs are what you are looking for, just leave #8 out

If you don't do #1, then #2 will adjust the frequency that the Q10 oscillator operates at. Not actually sure how it will sound because I didn't try that exact configuration. let us know...

Sound clips are coming... my construction skills exceed my playing skills, so a mate will do the recording for me in the next few weeks.

Sound clips now up. http://members.shaw.ca/lauriepedals/ then follow the links.

Eric Johnson strat into the MT-2 and straight into my Fender blackface reissue. Miked with an SM57 and a CAD tom mike.

Please note... what you are hearing is a strat into a Fender amp.

I like the overall sound but in this sample there's a little too much bass for my taste.

I'm definitely interested in more samples

I like the 12 O'clock sample
