Do all of the Boss DD series pedals have "trails" when you bypass them? they don't, which ones, and versions, do? If I want to get a DD-2 to go with my DM-2, but I want a Delay that has "trails". Sorry if this isn't too clear... Thanks in advance.

Hi

If you mean does the delay go on and fade out after the effect is switched off the DD-3 certainly doesn't... so i wouldn't imagine the DD-2 does either as it's the earlier version....i don't know about the 5/6/7 or the DD-20 .....

The DD-20 Giga Delay HAS what your are looking for!

Once you switch off the delay you will indeed get "trails" of what you played last with it switched on. A pleasant surprise when i bought mine!

I have the DD-5 & DD-7.

Its been so long since I played through the DD-5 I dunno.

But the DD-6 does exhibit trailing but they fade rather quickly.
It seems as though they only last for 1/3 of the time they should.

The DD-6, DD-7 and DD-20 have trails. The DD-5 and older pedals, don't

The DD5 does.
I used to own one... and it certainly trails (otherwise I wouldn't have bought it.

The DD20 is better, as you can trail one delay, switch to manual and play another delay over the top.
Depending on how high you have the feedback, you have you can create a lot of complex overlapping soundscapes with just a guitar and it's volume.
