I have yet to test-drive one, nor do I have experience with ANY OTHER Leslie sim, yet alone the real deal. I'd like to hear people weigh in on their experience with the unit &/or comparisons to others. Please refrain from ONLY making the argument of Leslie is Leslie - that's a no-brainer. Thanks in advance for your time & opinion, The-Destructor
- rotary sound is really cool (so is the crazy swirling led) and quite "real" sounding (I've only heard the real deal on recordings, never IRL) - a lot of freedom in setting the two speeds and switching between them - break is a cool feature BUT - overdrive is crap - it's really big - needs its own power supply (noise otherwise) and the main reason I sold it - there is a very substantial volume increase when the pedal is engaged, which for me made it unworkable in a live situation (if you just use it for recording it shouldn't be a problem)
hello and welcome to the forum.......i use one of the old Dynacord CLS 22 rack units in the stereo effects loop of my POD XT PRO.....the pod has a leslie sim but i think IMHO that the Dynacord blows it away..personally i like my modulation effects to be analogue if possible as i have found they have a warmer sound...if zestystrat is around he might chip in with his 2 cents...he uses the H&K Rotosphere on his 'board...i like my Dynacord so much that after my hols i'm planning to pick up a couple of powered monitors to run the rack in stereo alongside my main amp(the pod has an unprocessed output as well as stereo outs...) but even at the moment running it in mono i get a big... from the rest of the band especially on the Bob Marley stuff......i never bothered with the RT-20 in the end as the Dynacord was only 80 euro dearer on ebay and i knew one of my heroes Dave Gilmour had used one as well...i also messed around with using chorus and tremolo pedals maxxed out to achieve the effect with mixed results...you can hear some samples on www.modezero.com if your interested......
