I'm trying to get a GT-8 that's had a hard life back up & running and have it down to two issues. The first should be pretty simple (I hope) - the jog dial sometimes has a mind of it's own and will zoom through presets and patches. The second is far stranger!
No matter how I configure the expression pedal, I'm not able to activate the switch. I've pressed plenty hard enough, and didn't necessarily expect a tactile click, but can't change the LED above the pedal. Today at lunch, I removed the treadle and took the little black trim ring and grey rubber bumper off to find - - -no switch present!!! After removing the back of the unit, I found only empty space and few small holes. The pot works just fine and the person I got it from claimed to be the original owner. Any ideas? Anyone seen this before? Gut shots of a GT-8 anyone? |
