Hi there all,
This is the first time I've ever logged into a forum of any kind but this one just does it for me! As the proud owner of 66 Boss pedals now, I thought it was about time I joined the party! This site just makes me happy - I get a cosy warm feeling whenever I see all of this stuff - is it the same for you folk? Fantastic source of info too and just really good people who look like they are so into the same things as me.
Anyway enough of this bouncy new kid on the block stuff - looking forward to getting involved. |

Hi Bossarea & Guys
You have it all wrong bossarea, the 66 or more pedals are for research. They're not part of any addiction or GAS problems.

Hi again everyone and what a response - thanks for making me feel so welcome!
First off - I've a confession to make to you all - I'm not a medical doctor unfortunately - I'm willing to give it a try and prescribe pedals though – good call Potter V8!! Looks like we are back down to just two real Docs again. For me, it’s just a nickname I’ve picked up with my band (due to my pedal ‘research’ / GAS / obsession) and it's stuck - I guess I’m a pedal doctor really…
To make it up to you all I've posted a very rough and ready photo of some of my babies – these are the ones that don’t have the comfort of a box. The only silver screw is the GE-6 (also has the see through switch - one of my fave pedals - great combined with a PW-2 - you can get that Clapton 'Beano' wail with that combo). I’ll post a complete list of the collection up soon – there are a few duplicates and some modded versions (all Keeley). I might not have regular access to the forum next week (moving PCs)- but as soon as I do – I’ll get some much better photos together.
Like many of you I’m still looking for the elusive SP-1, SG-1, VB-1 VB-2 (oops - fat fingers - wish there was a VB-1 though - it might make the VB-2 easier to get hold of...) and DD-2 ...one day! My pedals get a fair bit of use – I enjoy experimenting - freaks the band out though when I bring a few along, wire ‘em up and see what sounds come out the other end (ok in sessions but they get really worried when I do it at a gig - I tell them that it all adds to the danger & excitement...)
Dr. Bob asked about guitars – got bad case of GAS there too I’m afraid. I’ve been playing for 30 years +, so got a bit of a collection together – mainly PRS (Custom 22/ruby red for live and PRS 513/ruby red again – main studio guitar) and Gibsons (a couple of Les Pauls - ’75 Standard Gold Top for studio and 2005 Honeyburst Standard for live, plus a tasty grey translucent – limited edition Explorer for those angry moments!). There are a few more kicking around too.
Happy dayz
PS: thanks for the beer by the way!

I think you've covered at least 3 other threads like "Where'd ya get your name?", "Show us your Pedals!", "Silver screwed again", etc.. heh. It sounds as if your guitar collection could use some lightening up a bit; I'll take your '75. |
