you could try wiring the hotrails in parallel as it's a four wire pickup so you have some options... it acts then like two single coils side by side...it reduces the output but i found it helped a bit plus the 1 meg pots seemed to help as well...

Thanks FRANZONI Yes. GND is the abbreviation for GROUND = another connection to the EARTH wire.
