Hi y'all - just thought i would introduce myself. Im a long time watcher of the site so i thought i had better join and try to contribute to this great resource.
Ive been playing guitar for 25yrs - still not any good !!! Played in a few bands in my teens and early twenties - mostly punk and hardcore stuff but can turn my hand to most things given the time and when my attention span is greater than the goldfishes.
Sold most my gear in 1990 - only kept a few things - my hm2 pedal, ibanez chorus and my fender strat....started picking up stuff over the last year or so as long as the price was right. I still play my strat and put it threw a cute marshall lead12 mini stack i bought from a friend...it sounds awesome for its size.
Thats me in a nutshell - enjoy the pics and i hope i can contribute to the wealth of knowledge you all have ammassed.

Yeah man,
Nice collection and what really sticks out is that you have a Metal Zone. Fantastic distortion pedal… I’ve had a few different distortion pedals over the years, but the MT-2 is by far the best!

thanx for the replies - ive got some more to take pix of so watch this space.....
i will try and answer some of your questions....
Stratosphere - the mz2 level pot snapped off a few years back but you can still adjust the level ok with whats left...still have the part that fell off but havent got round to sourcing a new pot yet.
Control freak - I like the dc3...lots of nice sounds but is very twitchy with settings - got to be perfect or it just sounds like a weak chorus imho.
Billy steel, vim fuego - I agree on the mt2 - ultra adaptable pedal, will do anything you ask from it....love the mz2 as well tho' - very 80's hair metal !!!
Ronster - had a few wahs in my time and the dimebag wah is the best imho - the range of adjustment makes it perfect for low down and high end frequencies. The boost feature is a good bonus too...not used it much but its always good to have an instant bit of oomph when you need it.
Dr Bob - i know, it hurt when it happened...but it still works and thats what matters. Will try and open up the wah next time im up my loft noodling about....

Nice HD-2 and I see you have the Super DISTORTION & Feedbacker as well. 
And you have boxes as well, they guys here, just love boxes...

Are you aware that there are a few different versions of the DD-3?

Thanks Dr Bob - reading threw the archives and scanning the boss book i was amazed at the different types and versions of some pedals. I can understand why some guys are into the versions and such but i seriously doubt if i could tell the difference so i dont concern myself with it !!!!
Just receaved an xtortion today from ebay - most of my pedals have boxes and instructions just by sheer dumb luck rather than design !!!
I just initially started to collect the effects i wanted or thought i could use often to replace the ones i had in the 80's - but this site does bad things to you - my OCD is kicking in and i gotta get moremoremore !!!!!!!!!!! |

Dont know dr Bob - but when the HM2 and df2 came out i was an apprentice joiner - so i guess im pretty well on in years now !!!
heres my latest installment.
By the way my ds1 is a keeley seeing eye one - not the switchable ultra one that seems a bit more common - bought it from a mate coz he needed something with a bit more ooomph. Is there a big difference between the keeley and the standard one ??? I just like the puuurty blue light and the cute flashy red one in the tone writing - gotta love the lights !!!
In fact my first big amp was an hhl100 - i bought it coz the hh sign lit up !!!! |
