Hey all!! I think im the only one who really likes my eq-20. Its really handy to have so many presets available...and yes i generally use 5 of them....id like it if boss made a function where you could sort through the presests that you have set. cheers
I use GE-7, but passed up on a deals for PQ-4 ($40CAD, but was to late), and GE-6 (sold on ebay with another pedal (DS-1?), $50 for both. Posted it up here a while ago instead of buying)
i heard a really nice sound sample of the EQ-20 actually doing an acoustic simulation and it really did sound like an acoustic (unless the bast*rds just used an acoustic in the first place!).
would be a nice little feature to have in a pedal tho.
Has to be the PQ-3B. The PQ-4 gives the illusion of being a 4-band but it's actually only really 2 - only with the mid and high bands do you have any control over the frequency. The PQ-3B on the other hand gives you control over the frequency at both the low mid and high bands. It's also whisper quiet unless you max the boost on the high band. I've never tried the GE-7 but the Ibanez GE-9 I tried was much noisier than the PQ-3B, and the GE-7 is renowned for being noisy (and the GE-6 even more so AFAIK). I know a lot of guys who regard the $30 Dano graphic eq as having better sound quality than the GE-7.
GE-6 baby. you wont understand until you try one. it just EQs your sound but leaves your tone alone. they are hard to find right now though
Hi StratoSphere & Guys Do you know if there is a schematic for the GE-6? It would be interesting to do a circuit comparison, perhaps that would give us a some idea, why they sound so different.
I'll go have a bit of a look around myself as well.
