Hi,

I recently bought a 2nd Hand BOSS V-WAH PW-10. When I plugged it into my setup, it gives me the following problems:

a) The volume is too soft and it sounds muted. However,if I engage the "bypass" mode, I will get back the original guitar sound (i.e. normal volume).
b) The "Voice" mode gives cracking sound

The pedal's volume is just too soft and I just don't know why. I have tried the following:
a) use brand new cables from Fender
b) Use the simplest setup --- [[ epi sg guitar >>> PW-10 >>> peavey 30W amp ]]
c) open the rocker and clean up the underside

But the sound is still too inaudible.

Can anyone help? I'm unable to contact the seller.

regards,
jtangsw

Are you using a batter or a power supply?

I'm using the power supply from my SKB pedal board. I'm very sure there's no problem with my power supply cause other pedals are ok.

I also tried AA batteries but the results are still the same
