The first one that pops to mind is "Bad Obsession" by Guns N Roses.
Slash hast the meanest slide sound there with his battered old Travis Bean guitar with only 5 strings set up for slide.

I've been listening/looking at the Neil Young 'prairie wind' concert he did in nashville a while back,he has his old mate Ben Keith from the original 'Harvest' sessions on lap steel on ome of the numbers and it's sounds great.. also some of the stuff Jerry Douglas does is great as well..there is a series on the TV thats repeated from time to time called the 'transalantic sessions' made by the BBC/RTE with musicians from Ireland,Scotland,England and the U.S mostly trad/bluegrass guys who all got together in a house in Scotland and recorded everything ... i think Jerry Douglas was one of the main instigators..most of the time he's using either a dobro or a lap steel and a small fender amp....ground breaking stuff in irish trad,i seen/heard of people coming in for a lot of criticism over doing similar things..some of our trad musicians can be a bit touchy if they think the music is being 'invaded' in any way, shape or form..... personally i like stuff like this and The Chieftains have been excellent in this regard when it comes to collaborations......

P.S..... I also think that Chris Rea is criminally underrated..........

Crossroads! Great movie with lots of great guitar work. I need to get that one on DVD. The cuttin heads scene is my favorite part:

i heard his road to hell cd. theres some scary slide playing there. is it chris rea or the guitarists listed whose playing slide? don't know much about chris btw, but i liked that cd so much i made a tape off it to use in my car (before it had cd player) and walkman. david lindley with jackson browne has a great vocabulary on slide, it sometimes doesn't sound like slide anymore. guys like derek trucks is good too.
