Hey guys, There are enough people around here that seem to have a lot of experience and knowledge when it comes to fixing pedals, I was hoping someone could help me out. I have a DD-3 that will power on, but won't pass a signal, either bypassed, or with the effect on. The signal will, however, pass through the "Direct Out" port.
Is there a (relatively) common problem that occurs with these pedals or Boss pedals in general?
Also, is the "Direct Out" jack buffered at all, or is it directly connected to the input?
Does anyone have a schematic for the DD-3? I browsed the net a bit, but came up empty.
Is there a general buffering circuit that Boss uses for its pedals when the effect is not on?
I'm pretty proficient in electronics (have a Bachelors in EE), so you can give it to me pretty straight, and soldering is no big deal. I hope you guys can help. Thanks!

| Hey, thanks for the reply. I looked for obvious broken wires and traces and didn't come up with anything. The pedal is actually pretty new, manufactured in September of 06 according to the decoder. |

| Also, I don't know if this means anything or not, but it will turn on even if there's not a cord plugged into the input. |
