Whats your best pedal buy during the last year or so?
Im not talking about the best price, but the biggest surprise of what you thought you would get and what the pedal really was.
There are a couple of positive surprises for me; Boss OD-20, RE-20, FBM-1 and RC-2 .
If I have to choose one it will be OD-20, I like it very much and can strongly recommend it, The price is about the same as 2-3 Boss compact ods/dists and you get more than 20 in this box, much more EQ possibilities, an octave function, four memories and above all most of the modelled pedals sound very, very good.

My seymour duncan twin tube classic...two overdrives in one.. and the crunch setting cleans up beautifully with the volume knob on the guitar like a real valve amp when it's distorting..... i know it's not a pedal but this dynacord rotary speaker sim unit is starting to grow on me as well....

I am going to commit heresy here and say my Behringer EQ700 graphic equaliser pedal.
I fitted an effects loop to my Vox AD50VT amp so run the pedal thru the effects loop now and can dial out any muddiness that couldn't be done with the standard controls. Made a huge difference just cutting the bass slightly and raising mids and high fractionally.
They are apparently quieter than the Boss GE-7 so Ive heard as well and very cheap.

Well, this an off topic, so every little sin is OK, Behringer is a BIG sin (like farting i a church), but thats OK too.

Hm, I'd have to say my custom built bass overdrive.
But as for Boss pedals it'd has to be my mint condition GE-7b, great EQ pedal!

The worst is the Behringer ultra tremolo, the effect itself sounds pretty good, but it eats a lot of low end, but heck I bought it for fun and it was dirtcheap anyway.

My PW-10. I got it cheap because the guy didn't like the heel switch.Through reading this forum I got the idea from Goran and Dr. Bob's comments to remove the switch and rubber heel stop. This made the PW-10 a very useful pedal with eight modelled wahs and the Uni-vibe phaser.

I haven't bought many pedals this year, mainly just kits for pedals, but the 2 pedals I have bought this year I have enjoyed immensely. A BBE Sonic Stomp, new for about $85, and a DOD Flashback Fuzz, pretty much new, for $23. My favorite pedal build this year so far has been an Armstrong Twin clone.

Wasnt that your idea????
Anyway, this little "adjustment" to PW-10 makes it a lot more useful, the good thing is that it is totally reversible in a couple of minutes.

Thats the early model OD1. Is it an A or B model? Is the switch clear or black?
Mines the last E model.

My best pedal purchase this year has been a $20 Danelectro BLT slap echo pedal. I liked it so much I bought 2 more. I was really surprised at how good the slapback sounds from such an inexpensive pedal...so much so that I've parked my Boss delay pedals for the time being.

...and I farted in church this morning...
