I disagree (to a certain extent). Not on the quality control or use of cheaper components cause I honestly dont know. However the sounds they create are all down to personal taste. I love my new pedals... DD-7 especially. Best thing since sliced bread imo |

I've got some pedals, but if you asked me a year ago I'd say Ibanez rules! I had a few Boss pedals but I thought they were commonplace, mundane even....I was wrong. The reason you see so many Boss pedals is because they are affordable and sound great! Not to mention the construction which is very roadworthy and hansome. I'm now playing thru a 90's MIT PN-2 and it's just kicking the balls off of me! Boss still make some really cool shit! |

I wasn't mad about the amp modelling stuff they brought out as from experience it's hard to replace a real amp IMHO but the RT-20 and the RE-20 look really great and from clips i've heard and feedback on the forum sound pretty good as well...from personal experience i think the TR-2 is one of the best pedals they have come out with since the 'classics'.....the DD series delays are also good..... |

+1... really nice..only thing i would suggest is to put the board in some sort of case if your going to be bringing it around with your band or pull the bottom row nearer the edge and lower the top one as the cables sticking out from the top row could get damaged....
Q/..whats your impressions of the whammy...? and is it a tone sucker..?...........
Edit..i just read your reply over on Rich S's topic on buffers and the whammy...i use an LS-2 as a bypass loop pedal but am not 100% that in doesn't introduce some high end/bass loss when the loop is engaged..i'm thinking of Lauries true bypass instead down the road... |

Cheers guys!
Franz, I have the pedaltrain pro hard case model, so I put the board into a (very heavy) flight case for band practice. It's literally bomb proof, and it has wheels which is nice. The top row's daisy chains to poke out so i tuck them away when placed inside the case (pictured below), been meaning to get angled ones. Below are some extra pics of the case, and one with my tele to give you an idea of the size.
Ollie

Hey Ollie, Whats your signal chain in that pic? Looking pretty sweet
And Zerkies, probably the cleanest board I've EVER seen... Whats the TR-2 like? |

Hey, nice board Ollie. How do you use the GE-7? As some kind of volume drop for cleaning up a distortion? Since you've taken the level slider all the way down without any big eq changes. |

ahah, I always forget to mention
'the settings in my pics are rarely what I use'
I tend to give my pedals a quick dust before taking a picture and so I knock my settings off. For the GE-7 I want to use it before my distortions but I don't have long enough patch leads to fit it in before my dirt at the moment. For the time being, i play around with it with the Ce-2 to get a jonny marr sound. (the smiths) It is modded with better upgraded capacitors, but I would LOVE a PQ-4.
& my signal chain goes like this:
Input>Wah>Whammy>TU-2>NS-2 Send: Keeley 4 knob compressor>OD-3> Shredmster>Blackstar> NS-2 Return Ns-2 Out: GE-7>CE-2>TR-2>DD-7>Out (Fender 4x10 Hot Rod Deville)
Hope that helps/makes sense
Ollie

| I have a PH-3 which I took off as I rarely use phaser any more, like the phase 90 74 but doubt i'll get it now as I don't use a lot of phase/flanger |

Same thing as me..i went through a phase.. of using phasers and flangers but these days i'm happier with tremolo/leslie effects and a bit of the CE-2 now and again.... |
