yes it works with every monophonic instrument plugged in it.
for guitar :
SYB-3 can be used with an electric guitar, the range for detecting pitch is B0 - G4.
SYB-5 can be used with 5 and 6 strings bass guitar, the range for detecting pitch is A0 - C4. |

Very cool! Thanks, Kulten!
I'll start scouring eBay for a deal. |

Hi Kulten
Great demo video's - thanks ... I noticed that you are running the SYB-3 from the 9V battery. Or was that just for your demo? And how long would the battery last?
Behind you in one of the video's, I noticed an open case. Is that what you have the DR-110 & SYB-3 in, when you do concerts? Do you have sync on the DR-110 & what you are using for your bass riffs?
There is one her on Evilbay Au. do you know, what sort of prices are reasonable for a clean SYB-3? It's currently on bids, & starting bid of $130Au.
Regards Dr. Bob. |

| I tried to win one yesterday - jumped from $70ish to $140+ in the last minute, at which point I let the other bidder win. :) |

I always use batteries, can play alone outside, in my bed, anywhere, and it's very fast to be ready for a live show. The batteries can stay alive 5 or 6 hours.

yes, inside you have dr-110, syb-3, syb-5, tm-7 AMP.
>>>Do you have sync on the DR-110 & what you are using for your bass riffs?
I just plug the "output" from the DR to the "input" of the SYB-3, then the SYB-3 into the SYB-5 : the riff is the sequence from the drum machine, then I just enjoy knobs tweaking.

max. 200 US $ (less than 150 Euros, a brand new SYB-3 in a music shop is about 250 euros) |

OK, my SYB-3 showed up today, and it's a giggle box! That is to say, everything I do with it makes me giggle. :)
It's really fun, especially mode 4 (sawtooth -1 octave).
I'll be making very weird loops this evening! |
