Hey dudes, I just bought an AD-80 off the bay, it gets here and I find the blend knob is either off, ie, no delay, or full on delay with the slightest turn of the knob from off. The pot value is 50k but I'm thinking 5k would be the right value as I can get the blend to actually do something with the most minute movement of the knob from full off, I took the pot out and it seems that around 1k things start to happen, anyway, can anyone tell me what the stock value of the blend pot should be.
Edit::: Ok, I found a 10k linear pot lying around so I put it in, I now have some control over the blend, delay is still at it's loudest at about 9 o'clock so I'm thinking it's either a 5k or even 1k, I'll have to wait til I get into town but it seems it's sorted, and might I say, what a sweet delay it is, I bought one of these things new in the 70's but the 18v was a pain back then, the minute Boss came out with a 9 volter, these were considered junk, I ditched mine along with countless others, 30 years later and I think this is the best delay pedal going, I bloody paid for it though.
Edit #2::: Well I just tracked down a schem and the blend pot is supposed to be 50kohmb so wtf. The 50k I pulled out looked like it was doing what it should when I put the meter on it and turned it. There is a trim pot in there, VR 102 for balance, maybe I should have a look at that.

Bump, well I had a fiddle with the balance trim pot inside and that is not the answer either. Is there anyone who can point me in the right direction to get the blend knob working properly, at the moment the delay volume is full on at around 9 o'clock, with the blend knob full on you get NO original signal, just delay, this could be normal but surely you should be able to have the delay volume workably adjustable up to at least noon? Anyone got one of these to compare, anyone got a clue. Heeelllllpppp.
