The unit with serial number ec02848 was produced November 1990, so it's the first version DS-1.

They misuse the term vintage because they have not found out about the word "relic" yet in order to misuse that word at some point in the future

If the kid who can (barely) manage to save up to buy it now wasn't born when it was made, it's vintage

I could "relic" my "pre-vintage" DD-7 by whacking it with a few bicycle chains (like how they relic furniture)... that would make it worth at least $1000 I think....
