So I got a CE-3 in the hopes it would sound enough like teh CE-300 to let me unchain myself from that beast. The CE-300 sounds amazing, but it's a rack unit and it is far too easily overdriven (an the input section sounds like crap when it distorts). Sadly, the CE-3 is close, but missing that last little bit of treble that makes the CE-300 sound so . . . CE-300ish? At least I think it's the treble . . .
Does anyone have a schematic for the CE-3? I have one of the CE-300 and would really like to figure out what the differences are - and maybe mod my CE-3 accordingly.
Also - has anyone else compared the two? Am I nuts? Am I imagining a difference? |
