Dr. Bob, I'd already been through your old threads. :) Slow and deep is where it's at!

one thing i noticed about the CE-2 is that it almost makes your chain louder when engaged. maybe thats why it seems so thick; it could be just boosting your volume. either way its still one of Boss best sounding chorus.

Hi Strato

I get no noise from any of my CE-2's, nothing like you describe.

The reason it might sound louder, is because the CE-2 puts a bump-boost in the mid range of your signal,
that's probably what you are hearing as a louder signal.

Mine's very quiet, too. Running it at 12 volts from a Pedal Power 2 Plus.

Mine's as silent as can be too, my CS-1 is noisy tho
Both in a BCB-60, with a dd3 and a sd1 doing the power thing
Not sure it that matters cause I've had six ACA pedals(inadvertently)in it and they worked fine

well i tried the CE-2 last night again just to make sure, and without a doubt it makes more background noise in my chain when engaged. it also really boosts the output volume. more than i remember.
it still sounds killer though. i SO wish it was stereo

I remembered what you said about the amps eq settings and keeping them flat. When I was testing out my ce2, one of my amps still had the mids cut way back to 9 o'clock and could hear the difference in the two.
I get a bit of background noise with cs1, and sometimes the lfo of the flanger, really quite tho. Even more so with a od/dist before it.
Gonna need a bigger pedalboard at this rate

Hi

Come on guys!
I didn't think that the Acquisition of an OD-1,
would be totally passed over, or missed for 2 days.

Not even a twisted comment from Strato..

Thanks to my wonderful sons, for getting it, for their "dear old dad".

I know it's not an SP-1, SG-1 or a VB-2, but it is an OD-1

Hey one-Way,
I think it's an E-series PCB like your OD-1, I'll have to go back & compare it with your pics.

Thanks SP-1
It is in almost unmarked condition.
It's the 8 PIN JRC4558 version, & from mid 85.

But I will still be looking for the 14 PIN version of the OD-1 as well.
That one use the 3403 or 4 op-amp.

A PW-2 and a RV-2. My first reverb pedal, box and all.
Oh and also my first un-boxed pedal PSM-5. (Shakes fist in air) Too... many... pedals. Need... more... power.
