How much would one in this condition go for? Is this a legit asking price? Not planning on buying, just curious.

It had quite a few big paint scratches. Can't tell much from the picture but it was definitely loved and gigged extensively in it's lifetime. It didn't have original knobs and it was going for 160.

Overpriced in my opinion for anything really. I do understand though that a working DM-2 is quite sought after, correct?

I have seen some youtube tests on the Behringer clone VD400. It seems to be an alternative to DM-2 for around $50. And, YES, it is analog.

Hi Erik dP

But how does it compare?
They use "CoolAudio" brand BBD's in the pedals that I have looked at or repaired.

I have never tried either DM-2 or VD400. I have actually only tried the DM-2 simulation on DD-20 (and breifly on Line 6 XT Live). These sims seem to add a bandpass filter as both the hights and lows gets cut off. A bit of wha-spiced delay.

I actually use the DD-20s normal delay with the built in tone knob instead (DD-7 lacks this) rather than the DM-2 sim.

I want to try the real thing and the Behinger seems to be a good way to start as I havn't seen any bad reviews yet. And it is cheap! However no tap tempo.

I guess that in a mix it is hard to hear the difference of delays.

I mostly use the built in delay (tape sim) of my VOX DA5. It has Tap tempo reachable with a pedalmod.

If you can stand my awful playing...
I have an embarracing clip that I'm reluctantly share as I kind of tried a new recording program (from Magix). At the end you can hear the VOX delay better than in the beginning, but I didn't use the tap-tempo to set the delay right.
It's just a blues-inspired-3-minutes-clip with an improvised solo in one take. As I have a mic I also added some lousy singning (made up the lyrics in 15-minutes while driving my kids to a shopping center) just to test a SM57 (so I split the solo an added some more riffs while singning). My point is that I'm not too proud of it. It just so happens that I have it here on my job-computer as I promised someone to hear it.
All sounds are done with the guitar except the drums and singing of cause. There are some RV-5 on the guitar also. And, Yes, that's an AC-2 as acustic guitar sim.

Hi Erik dP

Not too bad for a home recording.

You can always remix it later, or record alternate parts.
That's the beauty of Digital Audio Workstation DAW Software.

I guess you played & wrote all the parts.

Yes. I wrote and played all the parts on one guitar (also used an octaver). However I wouldn't think that Am-D-Am-C-B-Am-E is that unique even though I can't point out any other song that uses that chord progression. I just started out aiming at trying out and improvising some different scales/modes not using the normal I-VI-V progression and get stuck with the normal Am-blues scale.

I think I'm drifting away from the topic subject here.
