I saw Roger in '99, and he had Snowy White, but I can't remember the name of the guy who was playing all of the Gilmour parts -- if I remember correctly, he played left-handed. (?)

/the card game in the middle of "Dogs" was a hoot

no...the guy on guitar and vocals on 'dogs' was the keyboard player i think his name is jon carin....he played in the post waters pink floyd as well..andy fairweather was on bass when waters was playing acoustic guitar and on rythmn ..he also plays in claptons band as does doyle bramhall...very talented musicians,i really enjoy that dvd every time i watch it...i saw steely dan here in dublin about 9 years ago, just after they got back together and that was an amazing gig excellent musicians....but what i like about these bands is the song is paramount... not just endless soloes for the sake of it..don't get me wrong i love players like satch, eric johnson, pat metheny and jeff beck who like to let their guitar do the talking but even these guys make sure the song/groove/riff is good before just running amok on the guitar....!!!!

So do these guys playing guitar for Waters do their own stuff or do they follow Gilmour's original solos?

snowy white was the orginal session guitarist on the wall so waters seems to give him some room for improvisation...doyle bramhall plays all the gilmour stuff more or less note for note...well worth checking out big boss man if your a floyd fan......
