This is the pedal that i built this weekend but i can't seem to get it to work. one of my main doubts is whether that blue thing is the right way around or if the IC chip is connected properly.

I have checked and the schematic diagram is being linked, & served from
General Guitar Gadgets... http://www.generalguitargadgets.com/diagrams/bluesbreaker_sc2.gif
I will double check with them that this is OK, as the PDF states:
Permission refuse for posting/serving this diagram from any site other than www.generalguitargadgets.com

Nosi:
Until then i will just post the link to the schematic.

GOOD NEWS UPDATE:
JD Sleep from General Guitar Gadgets, has given me-us written permission to "Post & Host",
the Blues Breaker schematic, here on our forum.

Many thanks to JD Sleep & the GGG team/family.

Any ideas on how to find out whether its connected the right way around etc would really be appreciated.

Hi nois0
I have re-sized copies of your pics, they where a bit to large, to display on the forum.

The copies are in your upload folder
uploaded/nosi0/DSCN0936s.jpg-- just put the image tags around this link.
I added a small (s) suffix,
as in DSCN0936s.jpg.

And are now being hosted directly from the forum,
in case photobucket deletes them as I have seen happen occasionally.

Obviously, your original files on photobucket are untouched.

Thanks again to JD Sleep at www.generalguitargadgets.com
For allowing permission to host the schematic from out forum.

Regards Dr. Bob Moderator.

Hi nosi0!

Wow... that's gonna be hard to diagnose over the forum. Do you have a friend locally who is good with electronics? Maybe they can help "hands on" (which is what I think it's going to take).

I understand that you cannot really trouble shoot it throught pictures but i have some ideas why it might not work:

How do i find out which way around the Blue 100uf goes?

Do you join all VREF connections together?

Do you join all VCC connections together?

I'm sure the black 1n4001 is connected correctly because the LED does work.

On the Ti site it gives me numbers for connections on the TL072 these relate directly to the numbers on the diagram right? and top view means the view from the top of my PCB right?

Thanks i think i must have made a mistake with one of these things. Otherwise i'm totally blank. I'm the guy that repairs my friends gear so i don't think i will be getting much help from them

Thanks in advance, Nosi

GGG has some great stuff, it's too bad i don't have a credit card or something to order stuff! I spent a little while following through most connections on their ready made PCB http://www.generalguitargadgets.com/components/com_virtuemart/shop_image/product/61fb3f8b3320561bc379f61a161804c0.jpg

I also looked at their Blues breaker kit and i noticed one thing and that is that they are using different capacitators. they got these brown covered ones where i have most of them orange drops except the 100uF one.
