Hello All, I just bought a MIJ CS-3 on ebay. The Black Label on the back is totally wrinkled? I'm guessing there's a pedal out there without a label? Has this happened to anyone else? Just wondering.
I have a couple of wrinkly labels, but they are on MIT pedals so no one was trying to pull a fast one that way. A lot of labels get screwed up by velcro. If the serial number is still there you can check it on the Bossarea homepage under general information
im guessing what happened is that someone ripped off the velcro, took the label with it and it was re-applied.
tip. if anyone needs to get velcro off, try a hot air hair dryer. it melts the glue of the velcro and it comes right off. sure beats ripping it off and risking taking off the label.
Thanks for the replies. The Velcro scenario sounds very possible. The unit does have the MIJ S/N label inside the Batt Compartment so I'm pretty sure it's correct.
My OD-2 MIJ was missing the rubber pedal base completely, I got a new one from Roland for $2.95 but no label. The serial number in the battery box is how I know that it is MIJ.
